SURRENDER
The Mondak Animal Rescue has a goal to help find homes for the unwanted and stray animals. As a MANAGED INTAKE shelter, the shelter animal intakes grow each year, homes for these animals become increasingly difficult to secure. Although the shelter does all we can to rehome the pets that we care for, there are many things that you, as the owner, are able to do to secure a positive outcome for your pet. Because of the high intake numbers and capacity of the shelter, we request that you try to find an alternative solution to surrendering your pet to the shelter. Our team at the Mondak Animal Rescue will CALL YOU once space is available to intake your owner surrender.
Following are some ways you can secure a solution for your pet issues:
Behavior Issues
Some behavioral issues can be solved with a few minor adjustments within your home such as:
– Taking your pet out for more exercise
– Crating your pet when you are not with your pet
– Change the type of litter/litter box if it is a cat
– Seek a veterinary evaluation
Pet training is also a great alternative to surrender as many behaviors can be improved by training.

Rehoming Your Pet
We understand that sometimes there are circumstances that will require you to rehome your pet. Rehoming a pet sometimes takes time and patience, however, can help your pet avoid the stressful shelter life.
Rehome—to a Home
Rehoming your pet is something you can do yourself! Ask friends and family if
they are able to take your pet, post your pet on Facebook and reach out to pet rehoming services.
SURRENDER A PET APPLICATION
Completion of the application is not a guarantee that that we will have the capacity to accept your pet. Mondak Animal Rescue is a MANAGED INTAKE Facility.
