Hi! My name is Buddy and I am a “Doodle” which means I shed very little for those with allergies and I am very smart. I was found full of mats and thorns in my feet and fur. Luckily a very nice local grooming business groomed me and cleaned me up and in turn gave me the name Buddy since I had no identification. Although I sometimes act like a puppy, the vet thinks I am around 2 years old. They kept looking at my teeth and expected an answer from me, but not even I know how old I truly am. I weigh about 85 lbs currently and might gain a bit more. I am UTD on vaccines and recently neutered and currently on antibiotics for my wounds and infections on my feet. I am recovering quite nicely and my fosters let me be in the house where I am getting along very well other dogs. I do need some basic training from more consistent potty training to sittting but I am working on it. I pull when I am on a leash and am a bit jumpy with sudden movements or if you try to pet my head or put a leash on me. I need a firm leader to follow. I love to go for walks as my foster takes a group of us out when it’s nice to be free off leash and he even lets me sleep by his bed at night as I do best where I can be heard if I get up so I don’t potty in the house. I love to follow him around and see all these new things. I give LOTS of kisses. Being indoors is so great after being out roaming the countryside for so long on my own as I get food and water delivered to me and there are nice beds for me to lay on or a rug and I get these things called “treats” once in awhile. Being with a family is the life for me. I have had a tendency to “mount” other larger dogs or even humans but my foster says it doesn’t seem to be an issue currently as this group does not like that at all I found out very quickly. With some time and patience from you I can be a great companion as I love not having to take care of myself anymore and appreciate it.
